## Core Responsibilities of the Safety Officer
The appointed candidate will play a pivotal role on-site, serving as the frontline guardian of workplace safety and regulatory compliance. Daily duties involve meticulous risk management, equipment verification, and proactive hazard mitigation.
* Documentation and Risk Assessment: Draft comprehensive Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Task Risk Assessment (TRA), and Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determining Control (HIRADC) documents prior to the commencement of any site activities.
* Equipment and Compliance Audits: Conduct thorough inspections of working machinery and tools, ensuring that operator certifications and equipment validity meet strict industry standards.
* Personal Protective Equipment Enforcement: Guarantee that every on-site worker is equipped with complete, certified, and properly fitted Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Permit Management: Prepare, submit, and eventually close out Permit to Work (PTW) documentation in strict adherence to operational timelines.
* Environmental Monitoring: Perform precise $H_2S$ gas measurements prior to starting operations to safeguard personnel from hazardous exposure.
* Safety Briefings and Supervision: Lead engaging Pre-Job Safety Meetings (PJS), maintain active oversight of fieldwork to ensure full HSE compliance, and accurately log all safety activities.
* Reporting and Education: Compile detailed HSE performance reports and deliver targeted safety awareness programs and training sessions for field crews.
## Candidate Qualifications and Requirements
To qualify for this critical safety role, applicants must demonstrate a proven background in high-risk industrial environments, possess mandatory certifications, and show a deep understanding of energy sector protocols.
* Professional Background: At least 3 years of hands-on experience working as a Safety Officer within the oil and gas sector, with specific exposure to oil well operations.
* Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated capability in drafting JSA, TRA, and HIRADC documents, alongside a solid grasp of Pertamina Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
* Specialized Training: Must have successfully completed SIKA training.
